She is one of the founders and organizers of the Zarelia Festival: Journalism, Digital Media, Gender and Feminism.

She is co-founder and Editor in Chief at Wambra Digital Community Media. She is also co-founder of Fundación El Churo, an organization that works for the Right to Communication, Freedom of Expression and the strengthening of community and alternative media in Ecuador. She is part of the Communication and Community Media Coalition of Ecuador.

She has a degree in Social Communication from the Central University of Ecuador, a master’s degree in Cultural Studies from the Simón Bolívar Andean University and is currently completing a Ph.D. fellow in Sociology and Gender at FLACSO-Ecuador. She has written manuals on community communication, gender, and human rights. She is a visiting professor at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. She is an educator with organizations of women, feminists, LGBTIQ +, indigenous and afro-descendant communities.
