She is the founder and director of Asociación Corazón del Agua, an organization dedicated to guaranteeing the rights to sexual and reproductive health of women from the professional midwifery model that integrates intercultural views with evidence-based medicine.
Since 2013, she has been the academic coordinator of the technical course in “Professional midwifery with an intercultural approach” at Universidad Galileo, which privileges scholarships to young indigenous women for the provision of health services at the community level.
Gabriela has studies in Professional Midwifery, Nursing and a Master’s Degree in the Management of infant feeding policies and programs. In addition to attending deliveries, what she enjoys the most is knowing about the properties of plants and how to use essential oils to take care of personal and collective health.
