2023 IDEA Awards: Final Pitch
IDEA Awards 2023 Finalist.
Activist for the rights of refugee and migrant women, designer and photographer.
Believes in equality, in opportunities, in actions with social impact and sustainable over time. In her professional and personal activities, she has discovered that the fact of generating a change in the life or activities of women, adolescents, refugee and migrant children, irreversibly marks how they perceive the territory where they live, their relationships with those around them. surround them and their future in the new country where they live.
Founder of Las Reinas Pepiadas, an organization led by women that has implemented innovative resources adapted to the specific needs of displaced women so that they can rebuild their life projects, freely exercise their rights and access services through agendas to strengthen their soft, artistic, educational, and productive skills, among others, thus making visible the life stories and empowerment of women who move.
During the years of management at Las Reinas Pepiadas, she has formed a community support network among women who go through displacement routes in Latin America, to address the challenges of protection and local integration faced by women in human mobility that the Foundation accompanies.
