Allpa Tituaña

Allpa Tituaña is an indigenous woman, of the Kichwa-Otavalo nationality, from northern Ecuador. She is a general practitioner, currently practicing in the public health system. Since her formative years she has participated in the creation of comprehensive sexual education projects. In addition, she has been part of research teams (Universidad San Francisco de Quito, University of Minnesota, Brown University) that have developed their work in the areas of perinatal depression and prevention of adolescent pregnancy, with emphasis on the indigenous population of which it’s part. Collaborate on the Riksiri initiative: technological platform for comprehensive sexual education since 2020.
