María Pía Morante

Maria Pia is a professional with more than 12 years investing in Latin America. Maria Pia is currently Investment Director of ALIVE, one of the largest impact fund managers in the region, which invests in companies with high social and environmental impact in the region. In addition to her role at ALIVE, Maria Pia is Vice President of PECAP, the union that represents seed and entrepreneurial capital investors in Peru, and is President of Aliados de Impacto, an organization in charge of articulating impact investment in Peru. Previously, Maria Pia led the equity team at Profuturo AFP, one of the largest pension funds in Peru, for several years, and worked in the finance and market risk team at HSBC Bank in Peru. Maria Pía has an MBA from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Piura-Campus Lima.
