PROBLEM
Latin America is the only region in the world where the number of pregnancies in girls under the age of 15 is increasing. Every year, over 2 million adolescents between the ages of 15 and 18 get pregnant, impacting their educational career and job opportunities. Violence, societal taboos, and a lack of comprehensive sexuality education are the main reasons behind these figures.
IDEA
The Argentinian podcast production company POSTA was one of the winners of our IDEA Start program. As a result of the program, POSTA strengthened their business plan and incorporated the health and reproductive rights podcast in their regional catalog. They explored new ways to create free and safe content about sexuality, consent, contraception, sexual relationships, gender identity and pleasure among adolescents and young people.The making of the 6 episodes series was done together with specialists, adolescents and young people from different countries. We used flexible methodologies to co-create and understand in depth the doubts, concerns and barriers around sexuality. Thanks to the strengthening of their social entrepreneurship, POSTA was contacted by a multinational podcast production company which acquired 51% of the company and multiplied investments to increase their impact in Latin America.
